Another Donation Record

Thanks to the record number of sponsors, golfers, volunteers, dinner participants, and Joondalup staff, the 2015 putt4dough IT Charity Golf Day again delivered a record breaking $57,000 donation to Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.  This brings the total raised since the inaugural event to $213,000.  This is a tremendous reflection of the spirit of our sponsors and the people of Western Australia.  On behalf of the PMH Foundation, Ian De Nazareth, the Head of Fundraising, said they would hold the funds and use them in the new Perth Childrens Hospital, which is due to open in 2016.

This year there was a record 32 sponsors for the event including 8 original sponsors who have been with the event for the entire journey.  There were 9 new sponsors and 4 sponsors who returned after a short hiatus. There were also 30 people who attended just for the dinner proving that the third objective of putt4dough to network within the industry remains strong.  The other two objectives being to raise funds for PMH and to have some fun.

And finally Mike Hussey, the Australian Test Cricketer, who now captains the Sydney Thunder, gave his view on some probing questions from Chris Marshall and from the floor.  All in all a most enjoyable day and evening and of course very successful in meeting the objectives and helping the kids of WA get well.
